Our story
The Harmonised Team spent the last four years researching and gathering intel from taitamariki across various schools to
help develop and promote healthy relationships in Aotearoa, NZ.
This mahi included workshops, wānanga, resource development, international conferences, the development of
Harmonised healthy relationship resources, an App and a Youth Conference.
Meet the team
The Harmonised Team included Taitamariki Advisory Groups, a Community Advisory Group and a Research Group.
Taitamariki Advisory Groups
The tuakana and teina TAG members were aged between 13-17 years old. These talented and inspirational taitamariki were crucial to the development of healthy relationship resources and the project’s success. Their role was to ensure that a young person’s perspective was kept in our mahi.
Community Advisory Group
Nine specialists participated in the Community Advisory Group. They shared their knowledge and skills to support the Research Group. They also ensured that the Harmonised tikanga was adhered to and that we remained Māori-centred and taitamariki focused.
Research Group
This project brought together an interdisciplinary, international team to develop, test and disseminate a Harmonised app to support development of healthy partner relationships among taitamariki.
Project Partnerships & Funders
The Harmonised app and Healthy Relationship Resources have been developed in partnership with taitamariki
and Auckland University of Technology (AUT), University of Otago and Johns Hopkins University.
